Boroondara Central Lions Club Teddy Bear Program

Malvern SES with Trauma Teddies 2017

The Club donated Lions Trauma Bears to the Malvern branch of the S.E.S. in May 2017. The bears are to comfort children (and sometimes adults) who are involved in road trauma, house fires, lost in the bush etc. The S.E.S. gives the bears to children they are rescuing. The photo shows the members of the Malvern S.E.S with some of the Lions Comfort Teddy Bears.

The SES guys at Nunawading are all holding Comfort Bears. Boroondara Central Lions Club also donated $3000 for half the price of a new photo copier, which the SES will use to download maps from the internet and print them in colour so their teams can get to incidents.

The Club is will have an ongoing relationship with them. There are 85 volunteers giving their time, for no payment, to help our community and we think that's worthy of our on-going support.
